Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Senior Software Engineer - Data Science , you'll be a subject matter expert on data analytics and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers on the Client Telemetry Engineering (CTE) team. You will help set the tone of engineering-excellence and drive processes and standards for telemetry. You will contribute to the design of complex data solutions and take on the development of exciting new features. In addition, you will partner with your senior and junior teammates throughout the software development lifecycle to cultivate a reciprocal learning environment from development to debugging and operational excellence.

As part of the Enterprise People Technology team, our CTE team is responsible for design, development, and operations of end point telemetry systems which assist our associates in having the best-in-class digital experience. We interact with multiple teams across the company to provide scalable, robust technical solutions.
What Y ou'll Do:

  • Contribute to the design and development of telemetry and orchestration systems, automated detection and alerting of baseline drift, and initiatives under product roadmaps.
  • Identify key telemetry data required to solution for specific use cases.
  • Monitor the health, security and performance of endpoints and application components in real time to build actionable insights and analytics for the business
  • Actively participate and lead the technical requirements analysis, design review, contract closure with cross-functional teams across the globe.
  • Participate in and identify architectural improvements, code review, best practices, delivering testable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Identifying opportunities and business problems and framing them into advanced data analytics project initiatives .
  • Extracting available and relevant data from internal and external data sources to perform data analytics solution development.
  • Performing exploratory data analysis to verify data quality and data integrity.
  • Developing standard analytical solutions, statistical models, data modeling, machine learning or deep learning algorithms for building diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive data solutions.
  • Engineering new features by using business acumen to improve data solution. Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to deploy data science solution into production.
  • Communicating results and ideas to key decision makers in a concise, meaningful way that can be easily understood by business counterparts.
What Y ou'll Bring:
  • 5+ years of hands-on proficiency coding in one or more languages: Java, C++, Python, Spark, Scala, or R (Python strongly preferred)
  • Proven advanced modeling experience in leading data-driven projects from definition to execution, driving and influencing project roadmaps.
  • Deep expertise in writing and debugging complex SQL queries .
  • Proficient in machine learning and data mining packages in Python.
  • Robust problem-solving skills and a bstract thinking , with the a bility to understand a real-life problem, make the right judgement of problem statement, and give a feasible design of solution .
  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills with experience in interacting with business stakeholders and effectively driving conversations .
  • Extensive data analytics experience with the ability to identify and resolve problems or generate insights.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience on leveraging visualization to build compelling stories based on context to integrate multiple pieces of information into cohesive insights.
  • Experience in systems design, design patterns, microservices and distributed systems.
  • Large-scale distributed services experience, including scalability and fault tolerance.
