This role requires a combination of excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; strong organization and prioritization skills; ability to work in a dynamic, results-driven environment; ability to build and manage internal and external relationships at all levels; and ability to think strategically to effectively assess client situations and recommend solutions to meet needs. This project is fully funded. <br> <br>A successful Senior Consultant will support the following activities:<ul> <li>Contribute to a large program with multiple concurrent workstreams, multiple subcontractors, and focus on several complex initiatives that address, implement, and apply High Reliability Organization (HRO) principles and practices across the health system.</li> <li>Manage the design and implementation of training materials and/or communications products that advance organizational culture change. </li> <li>Manage day-to-day client relationships and communications and represent ECS at client progress meetings and briefings. </li> <li>Prepare client-ready recommendations, progress reports, briefings and other executive-level deliverables. </li> <li>Proactively recognize opportunities for improvement and initiate effective strategies to promote change.</li> <li>Serve as mentor to junior staff.</li> </ul> <br>Salary Range: $80,000-$99,000<br> <br>General Description of Benefits<br> <br> <b>Required Skills:</b> <br> <ul> <li>8 years of work experience in program management or operations in a large-scale integrated health care system. </li> <li>Strong hands-on analytical, project management and communication skills. </li> <li>Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues; desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.</li> <li> <b>Bachelor's degree in a related field of study.</b></li> <li> <b>Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.</b></li> <li>Legal authorization to work in the U.S.</li> </ul> <br> <b>Desired Skills:</b> <br> <ul> <li>Experience working with or working in VHA or other large healthcare system. </li> <li>Interest or background in patient safety, risk management, or high reliability.</li> <li>Experience leading project teams and overseeing the work of junior staff.</li> </ul> <br>ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, genetic information, registered domestic partner status, marital status, status as a crime victim, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
