JOB TITLE: Senior Collections & Billing Associate

DEPARTMENT: Finance

REPORTS TO: Controller

EFFECTIVE DATE: 6/21/2024

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for all billing and month-end adjustments and account reconciliations, all deposits, manages the collection of receivables and overdue accounts, resolves disputed or short-paid invoices and provides analysis and month-end reporting to management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve monthly collection goals; monitors collection activities and assists when appropriate.
  • Prepare all semi-monthly and monthly invoicing and statements for receivables accounts; generate late fees; apply payments on-account for all debit customers with discount adjustments if eligible, calculate and process premium adjustments, process host community abatement
  • Reviews the aging report and pursues collection of past due amounts.
  • Maintains timely and accurate collections of accounts receivable balances; ensures timely posting of cash receipts.
  • Reviews and analyzes effectiveness of accounts receivable collections policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates customer service activities and follow-up on customer short pays or billing disputes.
  • Interfaces with appropriate personnel and managers to exchange information and update records.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) or equivalent.
  • Three to Six years related experience or equivalent.
  • Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics / PC Scale a plus.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient on all Microsoft products
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.

  • Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
  • Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis.
