We are currently seeking a<b> Senior Civil</b></span><b>/Geotechnical</b><b><span> Engineer (Mining)</span></b><span> to work within our mining sector. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company. This is a <strong>full-time </strong>position that will be closely affiliated with our growing mining practice </span>s<span>ervicing <strong>Nevada</strong>. </span></span></p><p><strong>DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br /><strong>The successful candidate will:</strong></p><ul><li><span>Lead project execution to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.</span></li><li><span>Direct projects from scoping through final deliverables.</span></li><li><span>Prepare planning level and final designs for mine components, including leach pads, tailings storage facilities, and mine closure plans including detailed design</span><span>, and ancillary civil features such as roads and diversions</span><span>.</span></li><li><span>Understand client needs and be able to develop strong client relationships.</span></li><li><span>Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary project teams</span><span> across geographic regions</span><span>.</span></li><li><span>Leverage continuing personal growth and team growth within the geographic area of work.</span></li><li><span>Work with and support technical leads on all aspects of affiliated projects to address client goals and objectives.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrate very strong verbal communications and written skills including client deliverables.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>SKILLS/EXPERIENCE</strong></span></p><ul><li><span>B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or related field.</span></li><li><span>Master’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering desirable but not required.</span></li><li><span>15 years </span><span>equivalency </span><span>of professional services consulting experience that includes execution of feasibility, prefeasibility and/or trade-off studies and engineering evaluations, mine design from development planning to closure, and presentation of technical solutions in a variety of written and oral formats.</span></li><li><span> Experience with and interest in engineer of record services for tailings dams and associated support in GISTM compliance and application of its guidance on behalf of dam owners</span><span>.</span></li><li><span>Direct experience with mining and the mining industry required.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated ability to manage work on time and within budget.</span></li><li><span>Professional registration (PE) </span><span>required</span><span>.</span></li><li><span>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be proficient at writing technical reports to meet scope and quality objectives and client expectations.</span></li><li><span>Strong computer literacy skills including proficiency in industry standard software</span><span> and understanding of sophisticated geotechnical analyses</span><span>.</span></li><li><span>Strong organization skills and exceptional attention to detail is expected.</span></li><li><span>Positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexibility, and willingness to take personal ownership of projects and see them through to completion are a must.</span></li><li><span>Demonstrated ability to manage work on time and within budget.</span></li><li><span>Motivated to grow into a key leadership position within the mining group and geographic region.</span></li></ul><p><span><strong>About Haley & Aldrich</strong></span></p><p>Haley & Aldrich is committed to delivering the value our clients need from their capital, operations, and environmental projects.
