Position Purpose:

The Senior Automation & Integration Developer is responsible for creating efficiencies and improved customer experiences. The Developer will achieve this goal by designing, configuring, and developing integrations between our third-party APIs, internal workflows and information resources. Demonstrates Civista Bank's mission to improve the financial lives of our employees and shareholders to make a difference in the communities that we serve.

Key Accountabilities, Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Contribute to our Strategic Technology Plan by bringing together integration, custom development, workflow, robotic process automation and AI to achieve the bank's business goals.
  • Design and deliver customer solutions not previously possible for a community bank by collaborating with our growing number of third-party fintech APIs and our core banking API.
  • Design and implement productivity solutions applying real-time integrations as a component of workflow automation.
  • Improves efficiency, sales and business decision making by identifying and implementing opportunities to leverage data.
  • Act as the senior most escalation point for complex troubleshooting.
  • Mentor other resources across multiple disciplines to grow the bank's nascent development and integration skills
  • Ensure code quality and versioning
  • Establish our development methodology including how work is prioritized, tracked, tested, and implemented
  • All other duties as assigned and any activities that support the key accountabilities.

. Requirements:

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
  • Ten years' experience developing applications involving integration and workflow.
  • Demonstrated experience establishing a vision for integration, development, automation or related domain.
  • Six Sigma experience a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum/Kanban preferred.
  • Experience with diverse programming languages/models such as .Net, SQL, Hyland OnBase, JSON, JavaScript, Python, etc.
  • Experience with diverse development tools such as Visual Studio, Postman, GitHub, OnBase BPM
  • Detail oriented with strong critical thinking, debugging and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant technology certifications a plus.
  • Financial services or other highly regulated industry experience preferred.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Proven history of leadership and coaching.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work involves eye strain due to the constant use of computer screens, reading of reports and so forth.
  • Work will involve after hours support during critical outages.
  • Work involves ability to read, hear, write, and communicate professionally both in person and via telephone.
  • Work involves some travel to attend meetings, training, and so forth.
