Visa sponsorship not available.Our client is seeking a Facilities Electrical Engineer in Newark, DE.Role DescriptionThis role will supervise and co-ordinate operation, repair, and continuous improvement of electrical equipment (PLC, HMI, Power Distribution, etc.). Troubleshoot performance and reliability of vacuum furnaces, kilns, breakers & junctions, power distribution and transformation. Reduce equipment downtime and increase final yield. Identify opportunities to decrease operational costs. Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, R&D to support and refine continuous process improvement.•Maintenance of electro-mechanical systems, such as VFDs, motors, harmonic filters, and blower stages, as well as on-board electronic control systems comprising CPUs, PLCs, HMIs, and various instruments•Assist with electrical support for all systems•Oversee operation and maintenance of all electrical systems•Record and analyze equipment data•Ensure compliance with all safety standards•Direct and manage contractors in work assignments•Coordinate repairs and upgrades of electrical systems•Prevent interruptions and subsequent impacts to Operations•Urgent response to system recovery or troubleshooting•Modification of existing electrical systems to meet new equipment needs and demands•Work in tandem with internal and external project stakeholders•Maintain working relationship with contractors and vendors•Evaluate equipment/materials to increase reliability and uptime utilization•Maintain regulatory requirements of federal, state, and local codes•Support lean manufacturing, safety, 6S and yield improvement initiativesSkills & Requirements•ABET - accredited BS or higher Electrical Engineering degree•Minimum 5 years' experience in Manufacturing, Chemicals, Refining, Oil & Gas, or Mining environment•Industrial and facilities maintenance experience required•Supervisory experience required•Experience with high voltage switchgear operation and maintenance•Experience with typical rotating equipment, including three phase motors•Controls Engineering and SCADA system experience Controller hardware/firmware design•Circuit Design and selection•Test Equipment Design/Accuracy•Low voltage step-up circuits•High Voltage Resistance Equipment•TEC Controls/Efficiency/Reliability•PLC logic and programming experience a plus•Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to the organization•Demonstrated ability to analyze thermoelectric-related problems•Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills•Willing to travel domestically up to 5%Benefits/Other Compensation:Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401K.Why Hays?
