Registered Nurse - PACU
The registered nurse (RN) provides and coordinates holistic care of the patient through honoring patients' mind, body and spirit while respecting human dignity and the uniqueness of each individual. Professional nursing practices are rooted in evidence while being guided by organizational policies/procedures, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines. Nursing excellence is the foundation of the nurse-patient relationship and is exemplified by positive patient outcomes, ongoing professional growth and development, and collaborative relationships with other disciplines.
  • Assessment and identification of patient needs and implementation of appropriate interventions considering the needs of patient populations per department scope of service.
  • Delegation of nursing care activities and provisions of supervision; establishes and maintains a plan for the delivery of nursing care; assures that nursing care interventions and activities are directed to resolve problems; and performs technical aspects of care competently.
  • Has access to medication storage areas as required for job tasks. Follows Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures.

Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Experience:
  • Two years of varied perioperative services, previous PACU, or critical care experience preferred.
