Essential duties :
- Work with the technical team to understand system requirements and specifications.
- Perform trade studies and engineering calculations.
- Design components and build assemblies in SolidWorks and prepare engineering drawings.
- Build prototype test units.
- Perform tests, analyze test results, and prepare technical presentations and reports.
Desired skills, experience, and qualities :
- Strong fundamental knowledge of heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics and ability to apply them to solve problems in the area of energy storage and thermal management.
- Background in Lithium-ion batteries is desirable.
- Some experience with commercial CFD tools and thermal/fluids modeling will be a plus.
- Passion for new technology development and creative thinking
- Willingness to learn new topics/ subject areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with highly dynamic cross-functional project teams.
- Good technical writing skills
- Excellent technical judgment, data analysis, and interpretation skills
- Candidates with higher experience will be considered for a commensurate position.
