Company Overview
Perhaps we do something a bit odd (collecting discarded food scraps) when compared to other companies. But, the job itself is not unique. In fact, the job is the same in function - picking stuff up and dropping stuff off - as any other delivery driver position you might find.
People work at CompostNow because we give people the benefit of the doubt, we strive for operational excellence, and we treat people as adults. We hold high expectations of ourselves and one another. We choose to grind through with the right people rather than have it easier with people who don't share the same standards.
A quote from one of our Sprinter drivers on what the job is like day-to-day: "After my first few training shifts, I felt like I had a solid idea of what was expected of me and what I could expect to see out on route each day. Honestly the consistency of that has been great. There really aren't that many wild card factors in my day to day experience. Some days can be draining, but time moves quickly and I get to be outside for a good bit of it. Obviously that is less than ideal some days, but overall it's worth it. I've gotten to see some really amazing sunrises. I've got my routine going steady now. I drink my coffee and listen to my radio stations while I get ready for my route each morning, and I'm having a good time!"
This position may be a great fit if you enjoy getting up and at 'em to start your day (6 am to 7 am start time), if you already have an active lifestyle and value putting physical activity into your daily routine (get paid to workout instead of paying for a gym membership... what's not to like? ), and if you enjoy challenging yourself to be better and more efficient with how you work (internally driven competition).
Pay starts at $18/hr and qualify for health insurance after 90 days. Exceptional performers are eligible for a 5% raise after 1-year.
