- Travel RN- Operating Room Circulator

- The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room.
- As a member of the surgical team the RN works with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORT’s and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Surgical Department.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating of physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.
- Job Requirements
- At least 3 years circulating experience and able to perform all circulating duties.
- Services lines to perform are: Endoscopy, Davinci, orthopedics, general, gyn, urology, vascular at minimum.
- CERNER experience preferred.
- AORN periop or strong understanding of AORN standards.
- Schedule Information
- Shift: DAYS 3 12s or 5 8s, Staff flex in and flex out.
- They will need to take weekly late day and call day rotation.
- As well as weekend call rotation (Weekend call is from 7a Saturday to 7a Monday) and possible holiday rotation coverage if it falls during their contract.
- They have to be within 30 min dressed and ready for call purposes.
