The Sample Management Technician ensures proper storage, packaging, and shipment of samples, adhering to regulatory shipping requirements and communicating sample status internally and externally. Key responsibilities include verifying shipping manifests, coordinating with vendors/sponsors, handling hazardous materials, operating, and maintaining lab equipment, and ensuring compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. The role requires an associate degree or equivalent experience, proficiency in laboratory techniques, experience with LIMS, and knowledge of regulatory environments. Effective communication, time-management, and dependability are essential. The position involves physical activity, wearing protective gear, and the ability to work extended hours as needed. This is a nonexempt position with eligibility for overtime after 40 hours and no supervisory responsibility.
