General Position Overview:
The Rotational Project Engineer (RPE) position offers the opportunity to learn all facets of the construction management business through rotating hands-on experience in project and cost management, field supervision, estimating and safety over a two to four-year period. In this role RPEs will be exposed to all aspects of the construction process through rotating assignments in a series of progressively more responsible positions. Mentoring and practical experience combine to develop construction management skills in an area of specialization. Upon program completion, Rotational Project Engineers may become Assistant Superintendents, Assistant Project Managers, Estimators, etc.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations Rotation
  • Take direction from and support the Project Manager and/or Superintendent on assigned project tasks
Estimating Rotation
  • Take direction from and support senior team members on estimating duties as assigned
General
  • Demonstrate understanding of LF Driscoll's core values: Culture of Safety, Client First, Integrity & Transparency, Collaboration, Innovation and Excellence
  • Be an ambassador for and support LF Driscoll's Safety 360 initiative
  • Participate in RPE Programs, such as annual Bootcamp
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • General construction knowledge preferred, with 0 - 2 years working in the industry
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications
  • Experience with PlanGrid, Procore, Bluebeam, CMiC a plus
