Join our team as a Resource Center Float Registered Nurse (RN) and be part of providing high-quality healthcare to our patients. Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of a school of nursing
- One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program
- Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Requirements
- BSN or MSN
- Two (2) or more years experience in this specific clinical area
- Certification in clinical area
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Basic knowledge of Nursing principles and practices
- Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with departments, employees, physicians, managers and patients
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, be flexible and a team player
Problem Solving and Decision Making
- Requires high level of analytical ability in order to gather and interpret information from various sources
- Able to take appropriate action in response to changes, circumstances, problems, and/or emergency situations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
