RN Outpatient Clinic

The nurse assists physician/provider by processing patients and preparing patients for physician/provider interaction.  The nurse is responsible for the medication delivery, scheduling tests, answering telephone inquiries, providing patient education and performing other duties as requested by physician/provider.  The nurse participates in the multidisciplinary care model.  The nurse acts as a communication liaison between patients and physicians/providers.

Patient Care  

  • Prepare patient and assist provider with examinations, treatment and minor surgical procedures.   
  • Assists in the delivery of services and patient care. 
  • Responsible for obtaining medical histories, preparation and administration of injections, collection and preparation of specimens and performing office laboratory procedures. 
  • Schedule referral appointments and distribute patient educational information as directed by provider.   
  • Participate in multidisciplinary care model. 

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program

 

License/Certification: RN in IL and IA, 2 years of nursing experience.
