Position: OB RN Manager
Location: Winnemucca, Nevada (Critical Access Hospital)
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated OB RN Manager to join our critical access hospital in Winnemucca, Nevada. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetrics nursing and a strong background in managing and leading nursing staff. This role requires exceptional clinical skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in obstetrics nursing.
- Current RN license (Nevada RN license preferred; assistance with licensure may be available).

Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Supervise and manage the OB nursing staff, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
- Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff, promoting a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development plans for team members.
Patient Care:
- Oversee the delivery of comprehensive obstetric care to patients, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure patient safety and satisfaction by monitoring and evaluating patient care processes and outcomes.
Administrative Duties:
- Manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Monitor and manage department budgets, including resource allocation and cost control measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
Quality Improvement:
- Lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
- Serve as a liaison between the OB department and hospital administration.
- Participate in hospital committees and meetings to represent the OB department.
