Overview The Concessions Attendant provides excellent customer service by knowing and understanding the products being sold at all concessions stands.

The Concessions Attendant is responsible for handling all transactions at the point-of-sale system and adhering to all cash handling policies and procedures.

This role will pay an hourly wage of $8 to $9 plus tips

Responsibilities

Enters and processes all sales via cash, debit and credit card transaction using a cash register or other point of sale system in a retail environment with efficiency and accuracy.

Balance the cash register, making changes, and recording purchases.

Serves customers in a friendly and efficient manner.

Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures.

Maintains excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, and management.

Knowledgeable and understand the products being served.

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized workspace including but not limited to disposal ofgarbage & cleaning dishes.

Serve beverages to guests including alcoholic beverages responsibly. Must check guest’s ID in accordance with state/federal regulations to verify minimum age requirement for purchase of alcoholic beverages.

Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are organized, restocked, and properly stored, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at the end of shift. Staff must check out with the manager to ensure the concession stand meets cleanliness standards.

Other duties and tasks as assigned by Concessions Manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Must be over 18 years old by date of hire.

Three or more months’ experience in the food service industry preferred.

Previous cash handling experience preferred.

Excellent interpersonal skills & a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers & guests

Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event drive environment.

Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.

If not already certified, you must be willing to take Servsafe Alcohol training within 15 days of date of hire (at our expense).

Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of up to 25 lbs.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and as a productive member of a team.

Capable of working a flexible schedule and extended hours, including but not limited to working early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Schedule is event based and must be available for 90% of scheduled events, as well as some mandatory shifts.

Must be able to work in a loud noisy environment at times.

Proven ability to work well with all levels of management.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Perform other duties as assigned.
