Physician Assistant position available in Connecticut with an Orthopedic focus. Primary responsibilities include performing clinical assessments of patients, documenting medical history, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Position requires coordinating interdisciplinary medical care, acting as first assist in surgery at hospitals and surgery centers, providing pre and post operative education to patients and/or family members, and providing on call coverage.
Practice details include:
- Additional positions for Pulmonary or Primary Care also available
- Office schedule is Monday-Friday; 8:30am-5:00pm. Or schedule will start earlier depending on location.
- The on-call ratio is dependent upon how many ortho providers are in department, i.e. number of days in the month divided by number of providers. Monday-Friday call schedule is 5:00pm to 8:30am. Saturday and Sundays are 24 hours as the office is closed.
