RN- Infection Preventionist Nurse (ICP)

he Avenue at Wooster is currently seeking an Infection Control Preventionist. The ideal candidate will have previous long term care experience. This person must be dependable, have great customer service skills and be a team player.

This person will report directly to the Director of Nursing and is responsible for total documentation related to infection control throughout the facility.

Qualificiations:

• be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• hold a current, active LPN or RN license
• be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check

Responsibilities include:

• training and educating the staff on infection control
• daily, weekly or monthly monitoring and reporting of infection within our building
• ability to comply with all applicable CDC, Federal, State and Local regulations and requirements
• adhere to infection control standards at all times
• partcipate in new hire orientations, facility meetings and training
• be on the on call rotation schedule
• move intermittently throughout the day
• speak, write and read the English language
