+ JOB REQUIREMENTS + Education + Graduate of accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Current state licensure or licensure within an enhanced compact state. Current BLS certification required. Current ACLS/PALS certification preferred. + Experience + One year of Medical/Surgical or E.D. nursing preferred. + Physical + This is a safety sensitive position. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. + JOB SUMMARY + The registered nurse is responsible for assessing, analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of Emergency and Medical Surgical patients on a daily basis, which require general therapies and interventions related to specific conditions. The RN is under the general supervision of the ED Nurse Manager, Med Surg Nurse Manager and Registered Nurse in charge, when not in charge. The position requires flexibility of scheduling in both the Emergency and Medical Surgical Departments with the ability to work all shift patterns including weekends and holidays to insure continuity of care and appropriateness of nursing coverage to the patients of St. Bernards Five Rivers Medical Center on all units.
