Job Description:
Summary:
MRI Technologists are required to perform routine diagnostic procedures as necessary in the daily operational objectives of the Medical Imaging Department as set forth by hospital guidelines and policies, regulatory agency mandates, the radiology medical staff and radiology administrative personnel. MRI Technologists are expected to perform MRI testing in a safe manner at all times by taking all necessary precautions and measures in compliance with safety training and applying MRI training to prepare the patient, equipment and surroundings for the best possible diagnostic study available.
Requirements: Associate's degree in Radiology Technology and/or a graduate of Radiologic Technology Program recognized by The American College of Radiology. If not registered in MRI, hired after 1/1/2017 must schedule the MRI registry to be taken within 12 months of hire.
Licenses and Certifications: Valid and active ARRT certification Advanced certification in MRI preferred CPR certified.
