ATCS, PLC is a dynamic and nimble firm seeking a team manager for roadway/civil design projects including new construction, roadway widenings, intersections, interchanges, and more. We seek a motivated and energetic team manager that will operate in a collaborative team and deliver high-quality projects for public agency clients, including local municipalities and VDOT. The desirable candidate will perform a variety of engineering tasks relative to various municipal and VDOT roadway design projects using applicable software and standards. The diversity of responsibilities and actual tasks to be done require a flexible mindset and cooperative team-oriented attitude with progressively increasing management capabilities. Duties would include team management, business planning, project design, task management, project management, client management, agency contact, business development and quality control. The individual will be assigned to the ATCS Herndon office but may be expected to travel to other ATCS offices to support collaborative efforts and/or pursuits. Typical skills and responsibilities shall include: Proven experience in a senior engineering or business development role. Strong leadership skills with a track record of fostering teamwork and collaboration. Experience in career development and coaching. Commitment to diversity and inclusion with experience in related initiatives. Strong analytical skills with experience in revenue and profitability management. Strategic thinker with the ability to evaluate emerging opportunities and risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Involvement in project/contracting scoping, fee development, contract negotiations, and execution. Involvement in business development and marketing proposals and presentations. Directing others in performing or self-performing designs for all types of roadway infrastructure projects based on AASHTO, VDOT, and/or local municipalities design standards and criteria. JOB REQUIREMENTS: BSCE or equivalent degree required. P.E. required Experience managing staff required A minimum of 15 plus years of applicable roadway design experience in/around Virginia preferred Familiarity with Microstation, OpenRoads Designer and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D experience Familiarity with AASHTO, VDOT and regional design standards, practices, and policies Our employees are the most critical part of ATCS. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $155,500 to $233,500 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The role is also eligible for an annual bonus, with a target 10% of the employee's annualized salary.
