About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Operations to serve as the senior Finance and Operations Officer, ensuring the institution's fiscal integrity and operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visionary leadership and supervision in financial, facilities, safety and security, personnel, and informational systems. This role involves preparing and managing the annual budget, maintaining internal controls, and reporting on the financial condition of the College. The VPFO will also oversee areas such as finance, college police, human resources, information services, and facilities, and will be expected to drive a culture of fiscal accountability, safety, facility and technological advancement, and personnel equity.Applicants must have a Master of Business Administration degree with a finance, accounting, or equivalent emphasis, and a minimum of five years' experience as a successful financial manager. A background in graduate-level study related to the accounting and business functions of a comprehensive community college is also required. The ideal candidate will have a record of collaborative leadership, a strong understanding of current financial and operational best practices, and experience in strategic planning and implementation. Skills in data analysis, metric-informed planning, and a commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and equity are essential. The VPFO will work closely with the President and College leadership, so the ability to work effectively in a student-centric environment and a thorough knowledge of the community college mission is vital.
