Uptown Airport Group, located at the RALEIGH-DURHAM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, is seeking both full time and part time applicants that are available to work the morning (AM) shift and/ or the night (PM) shift as a Full Service Cook and Prep Cook.

$150 HIRING BONUS offered to new hires who remain employed for a minimum of 90 days.

Applicants must be willing to work at a very fast pace and work schedule as required by manager. Applicants must have great customer service skills and should enjoy meeting people from all parts of the country. This position is located at Raleigh Taproom in Terminal 2 of the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Previous experience in food service is REQUIRED.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Measuring and assembling ingredients for menu items
  • Collaboration with the Chef and cooks to prepare meals during dining hours
  • Maintaining accurate food inventory
  • Prepping ingredients and preparing meals while maintaining a clean and safe work place
  • Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Rotating stock items as per established procedures
  • Restocking kitchen for subsequent shifts
  • Ensuring that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of the shift
  • Greeting guests with cheerful and helpful attitude
  • Listening attentively to guests and offering suggestions
  • Ability to properly take orders and operate the POS system
  • Operating with a sense of urgency
  • Adhering to all required safety and sanitation protocols
  • Compliance with Uptown Airport Group's uniform, appearance, and operational standards as defined in the Associate Handbook

Successful candidates:

  • Must be an excellent team member and have the ability to work with multiple people.
  • Must be able to read standardized recipes.
  • Must have strong food handler procedures.
  • Must be (or in process of being) ServSafe Certified.
  • Must be friendly, engaging, and must possess superb customer service skills.
  • Must provide 110% customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and have a sense of urgency.
  • Must be able to work complete scheduled shifts with excellent attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be approved for airport badge through TSA.

To maintain the safety of our team members and customers, we have installed plexiglass at our registers and we require masks and gloves be worn at all times. We sanitize and disinfect frequently used surfaces and deep clean the restaurant often.
