GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK:
Under the general direction of the Operations Director, with the clinical supervision of the Radiologist at each site on the mobile route, performs examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illness. Compensated travel-this is a mobile imaging position in Northeast Tennessee, Southwest Virginia and the surrounding area.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
Performs CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist.
Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.
Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the coach and during the exam.
Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company sponsored training programs.
Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents according to site-specific protocols.
Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.
Maintains current licenses in all states in which services are performed.
Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
Completes necessary administrative tasks.
Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
Complies with all safety policies and regulations.
Performs additional duties as required.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate of an approved two-year Radiologic Technology program
Minimum 3 Years CT experience preferred
Board Certified in CT by the ARRT or NMTCB required
Special Skills and Requirements:
Must be registered with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and possess a permit to practice where applicable.
Must be able to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous responsible, professional and ethical manner.
Must be able to produce very high quality imaging with little supervision.
Must be able to function effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Must be flexible, reliable and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
Ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds as well as assist with patient maneuvering.
Must be familiar with age specific criteria.
Able to demonstrate competency in all applicable areas.
