Archer Assess/Intake Psych House Supervisor DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: * The Psych House Supervisor organizes patient care and general unit activities to accomplish required functions with delegation of these activities to other staff as appropriate. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Develops, implements and enforces policies and procedures which support the Hospital's mission, goals and objectives. * Assists in the develops annual departmental budget and operates within budgetary guidelines. * Recommends and ensures appropriate staffing levels. Allocates resources according to priorities. * Generates creative solutions & attention to detail. * Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. * Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. * Develops alternative solutions. * Balances team and individual responsibilities. * Demonstrates persistence and follow through even when faced with adversity or challenges. * Ensures that staff complies with mandatory education, license requirements, mandatory health requirements, etc. * Sets clear performance expectations and holds people accountable. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE * Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing * Prefer 2-4 Years Experience in working with mentally ill &/or addictions; Prefer 1- 2 Years Experience in Healthcare leadership setting. * Nursing License as a registered nurse in Louisiana or multi-state compact license. * Crisis Response Training, CPR * Ability to communicate with patient, family, peers and medical personnel. * Requires emotional stability and resilience. * Must be adaptable to change, be decisive, and demonstrate foresight. * Exhibits organizational and leadership ability. * Shows ability to gain and maintain support and respect. Physical Demands/Work Environment * Work requires a variety of physical activities, including moving about within and outside of all hospital properties for long periods of time. * Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergent situations. * May be required to assist in controlling disorderly conduct or combative patients. * Must be able to exchange accurate information with patient, family, peers and medical personnel. * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
