Shaner Hotels and Buffalo Marriott at LECOM HARBORCENTER are seeking a dedicated Culinary Supervisor to join our Kitchen team, located in downtown Buffalo just off 190, sitting at Canalside entertainment district.

The Culinary Supervisor will work directly with the Culinary Director to ensure training and monitoring of front line culinary associates. Assisting Front-of-the-House managers and supervisors to ensure seamless coordination while delivering the highest quality to the guests. Provide guidance and support to culinary associates throughout the daily operation. Implement and enforce organizational policies and procedures as established by the Culinary Director. The Kitchen Staff prepare mouth-watering cuisine and beverages for our clients and guests. We expect our Associates to provide warm, friendly service with a genuine smile and pleasant attitude. We look for staff who are willing to learn, work well on a team, and who seek opportunities to grow.

The Culinary Department team members plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. They maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipmentFood safety certification preferred but not required. Work shifts and hours vary, weekend and holiday hours required.

Requirements
  • High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
  • Flexibility to cover all shifts a must, including weekends and holidays
  • 2-4 years culinary experience and previous leadership roles preferred
  • Prior customer service and hospitality experience is helpful, but not required
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
