Recipe Technician

Under the direction of the Sr. Manager of the Menu Database, Recipe Technicians work in conjunction with Research & Development and Testing teams to ensure the recipes meet company quality and operational standards. Technicians establish and observe the success and performance of products at different development phases by performing in-depth Recipe Assessments on any and all developed/approved recipes.

Duties and Responsibilities

    • Perform an in-depth Recipe Assessment on every developed product, prior to the recipe's testing launch.
    • Provide support to development, testing, training, and support teams to produce quality products and processes through detailed reports, documentation, and instruction.
    • Validate processes determined in development and establish further specifications, procedures, and policies in conducting consistent product company-wide.
    • Follow food safety in all applications of recipes, documenting times, temperatures, and procedures
    • Operate and upkeep a functioning kitchen that conducts recipe assessments and duties done by other teams.
    • Collaborate well with bakers, share kitchen space and communicate regarding ingredients.
    • Ensure that quality and operational issues are effectively addressed and mitigated prior to recipe launch.
    • Plan processes to decrease defects in products.
    • Support troubleshooting and have an excellent understanding of the cookie's processes on a larger scale.
    • Remain current on development in the industry, including equipment and quality initiative programs.
    • Isolate and communicate trends in production.
    • Create V1 instructional design on recipes based on assessments.
    • Provide accurate and detailed content for V1 recipes in the form of photo and video.
    • Contribute to daily maintenance of the Menu Database as needed.
    • Assist Sr. Manager of the Menu Database with any other tasks as necessary.
Qualifications
    • 1 year Crumbl experience, preferably in a management role.
    • Driven self-starter.
    • Extremely positive attitude.
    • Excellent eye for detail.
    • Excellent time management skills.
    • Advanced problem-solving skills.
    • Highly proficient in critical writing, grammar, and instructional design.
    • Able to accurately identify production irregularities in different climates and regions.
    • Maintain a safe working environment.
    • Experienced in food safety and handling, and quality assurance efforts in the same or similar fields.
    • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
    • Highly organized.
    • Demonstrated ability to create structure and prioritize work.
    • Thrives working in a fast-paced, results-oriented culture.
    • Flexible and adaptable.
    • Responds positively to feedback and coaching.
    • Team player.
