The Department is fully accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE ). The Department offers an Associate in Science degree in Architectural Drafting, and the Bachelors in Science degree in Construction Management Engineering Technology; Computer Engineering Technology; and Electronics Engineering Technology. JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will:

1. Teach a variety of courses, including surveying, engineering mechanics

(statics, strength of materials), steel structures, and soil mechanics.

2. Contribute to program and curriculum development.

3. Advise/mentor students and participate in recruitment activities.

4. Demonstrate self-motivation to engage with industry on applied research projects.

5. Participate in ongoing assessment and accreditation activities.

6. Perform other duties as assigned by department chair.

Minimum Qualifications 1. Have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or closely related

field.

2. Have a M.S. degree Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering with Structure and/or Soil

Mechanics concentration, or closely related field. (Ph.D. degree preferred).

3. Demonstrable track record of successful teaching and scholarship.

4. Possess good communication skills; and have a strong commitment to teaching excellence

and proven ability to work collaboratively with others.

Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience in teaching on the higher education level and ABET accreditation

experience.

2. Experience with Blackboard technology

3. Have at least three years of relevant industrial experience
