MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program.
2. Three years full-time, wage-earning experience as a licensed
vocational nurse.
3. Public health nursing experience preferred.
4. Correctional nursing experience preferred.
5. Computer operations experience preferred.
6. Must have a valid, current, and unrestricted license to
practice licensed vocational nursing as approved by the
Texas Board of Nursing.
Must maintain valid license(s) for continued employment in
position.
**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) may be
reduced by 2.5%.**
The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally
applicable to this position. Applicants must fully complete the

**A writing exercise which may include spelling, grammar, punctuation,
proofreading, letter and/or report composition may be administered
