Accounting Specialist - Marietta

Adecco is seeking a skilled Accounting Specialist for a client in Marietta, GA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for candidates experienced in cost accounting and inventory management. You will play a critical role in the finance team, supporting the financial close process, analysis, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring timely payments and preventing overcharges
  • Daily review and recording of ACH payments
  • Verify and process transactions using receipts and other financial documents
  • Support daily, monthly, and annual accounting tasks and projects
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and promote efficiency
  • Record financial transactions such as expenses and sales revenue
  • Process payments to vendors and utilities for supplies and services
  • Issue invoices to customers for services or goods
  • Reconcile accounts, noting outstanding debits and credits
  • Generate financial reports as required
  • Manage monthly credit card billing and file taxes
  • Assist with the review and completion of business licenses
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
  • Proficiency in Excel; QuickBooks Online experience preferred
  • Prior experience in the construction industry is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and integrity in handling confidential financial information
  • Excellent computer skills and communication (both verbal and written)
  • Professional demeanor with a focus on customer service
  • Experience in accounting or finance roles
