Geriatrician- Bronx, NY (#3010)

Must be Board Certified

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Geriatrician to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in Bronx, New York.

Responsibilities of the Geriatrician:

  • The Geriatrician will provide medical care to treat, prevent and/or diagnose illness, disease, or injury.
  • The physician will examine or conduct tests to provide information on medical status, analyze records, reports, test results, and/or examination information to diagnose medical condition of patient, prescribe/administer treatment, therapy, medication and/or vaccination.
  • The physician will also focus on explaining procedures and discussing test results on prescribed treatments with patient and advise patients and community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
  • The physician will collaborate with and non-physician providers (NP, PA, CNM, etc).
  • The physician will perform other job-related duties as required by departmental needs/demands.
  • Home visits and in office visits

Requirements

  • Must have an MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of accredited residency program
  • Must have completion of Fellowship in Geriatrics
  • Must be Board Certified
  • Must have valid NY State license, CDS, DEA, and BLS
  • Understanding of and passion for Community Healthcare is preferred

Benefits

  • The salary for this position is $210,000 - $245,000 / yr
