LPN - Extended Care

The Primary Care Nurse (PCN) works as a collaborative member of a cottage nursing team and provides/supervises resident care for a specific group of residents, to include administering medications/treatments, assisting with care/interventions, life engagement, supervision of team members, monitoring implementation of the care plan, and coordinating referrals to other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, families and physicians. The PCN promotes a resident directed care model in the cottage setting, utilizing every aspect of the environment/care model to promote quality of life and a sense of belonging Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. Required qualifications: * Coursework/Training - Graduate of an accredited School as a License Practical Nurse, or equivalent education/experience * Alaska Licensed Practical Nurse upon hire * within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association * Municipality of Anchorage food handler permit or the ability to attain certification within 21 days of hire. Preferred qualifications: * 6 months Nursing experience in a health care facility preferred (acute care, long term care, rehabilitation center). * Supervision/leadership Why Join Providence?
