Description
Saint Mary’s Hospital’s Inpatient Surgery Department is a 23-bed unit that provides care for various types of surgeries pre and post operatively. Surgical procedures include but not limited to bariatric, orthopedic, ortho-trauma, neuro-spine, mastectomies, urological, gynecological, and gastroenterology surgeries.
What You Will Do
- Provide hands-on bedside care of patients with complex surgical needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop plans of care and facilitate education with a focus on restoring patients to their pre-surgical state of wellness
- Assisting exceptional care for patients who require a stay overnight or longer after surgeries.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN graduates preferred.
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in Connecticut.
- Certification: BLS required. (AHA/ARC)
- Full time – 30 hours – Days
- Two 12-hour Shifts in one week and
- Three 12-hour shifts in the second week
- Holidays and weekends as scheduled.
- Face paced environment.
- Dedicated and specialized team of RNs, LPNs, and PCAs working together with the hospitalist and specialty providers.
