International Program Coordinator

The International Program Coordinator is responsible for managing the J1 and H2B program participants relating to organizing and scheduling their arrival to the property, accommodations, weekly shopping, recreational activities; and coordinating and scheduling necessary transportation, i.e., banking, medical visits, and Social Security office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

J1 Student Exchange Program and/or H2B Program:

  • Prepare housing - assure housing is prepared and ready for move in; stocked with bedding, kitchen items and utensils, bathroom items, keys for housing
  • Pickup arrivals at Pittsburgh airport, or Pittsburgh or Wheeling bus stations at scheduled day/time
  • Provide weekly schedules for shopping, groceries & personal items.
  • Develop and schedule cultural activities during their employment - i.e., sporting events, theme parks, theater productions; local activities, movie theater, recreation and other activities
  • Coordinates transportation schedule and/or transports to all events using park van
  • Communicate and be the point of contact for all needs, requests and concerns, directing them to the appropriate department/manager
  • Assist with any or other employment needs
  • Works with Human Resources to develop schedules for bank account set up, drug screenings, and Social Security Office (10 days after entering the US; if he/she does not possess a social security card)
  • Spanish is preferred but not required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Fourth year college or university program certificate; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
