Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Knowledge of new trends and techniques in Nursing. Previous hospital LPN exp. is pref. Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles. Demonstrates ability to provide quality patient care. Possesses ability to assess patient's needs, e.g. clinical, teaching, mental and spiritual. Must recognize safety issues to self and others and be able to assess and implement use of lifts to lift and move patients in a safe manner . Must be able to function well in stressful situations and have good, creative, problem-solving skills. Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate. Demonstrated commitment to quality, timely, and cost-effective patient care. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills required. Detail attentiveness required. Individual must be self-motivated and willing to self-direct. Ability to simultaneously handle multiple assignments and projects with speed and accuracy. Able to work efficiently and effectively under time constraints. BLS required or obtained within 3 months of hire or transfer.
