Responsibilities

Are you interested in a career that makes a difference in the lives of students in your area? If so, Learn It Academic Services is looking for a full-time, licensed Occupational Therapist to work in our K-8 classrooms engaging in pull therapy sessions. Sessions will take place in-person . This is a great opportunity to join a growing, interdisciplinary team of professionals focused on creating exceptional learning experiences for children in need. 

In this position, you would be a part of an educational team consisting of a supervisor, educators, and fellow OTs. This team works with the School District of Philadelphia to deliver the highest-quality occupational therapy to students who qualify. As an OT you will work closely with school personnel and parents. 

Responsibilities such as collaborating with the school to identify students, delivering therapy in a small group or individual setting, and tracking student progress are essential to the position. Classroom management and escorting students to and from class in order to provide a safe and positive learning environment that teachers will oversee are also key responsibilities.

Qualifications
  • Active and valid OT license with the State of Pennsylvania.
  • Must be willing to obtain and provide all required Pennsylvania clearances and requirements dated within 1 year.
  • Computer proficiency required, including but not limited to, Google Drive and Zoom.
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service to principals, classroom teachers, and parents.
  • Proficiency in gathering and analyzing relevant data and reporting on student progress required.
  • Must have exceptional organization and communication skills.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
  • Work location is in a school building where employee will need to be able to go up and down stairs.
  • Frequent standing and ability to raise arms above the head.
  • Hand dexterity for typing and entering data into a computer.
