The Office of Communications and Marketing in the Harbert College of Business is currently accepting applications for the position of Senior Application Systems Analyst / Webmaster The person in this role is responsible for the comprehensive management of the Harbert College of Business website, ensuring optimal performance and user experience. This role requires a proactive approach to web management, regular updates, and a keen understanding of digital analytics to inform strategies.
Under minimal supervision, services as a technical lead and often as a business expert assisting colleagues in the college in defining needs and formulating and defining system scope and objectives needed to fit those requirements. Monitors, defines, creates, and modifies procedures to solve highly complex and or unprecedented problems considering resource capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.

Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities:
  • Web Management: Oversee the daily operations of the college's website, including content updates, design enhancements, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Analytics Review: Conduct proactive analyses of web traffic and user engagement metrics to drive improvements and report on the effectiveness of digital strategies.
  • Digital Advertising: Be involved with the development and management of online advertising campaigns in alignment with the college's marketing objectives.
  • eNewsletter Production: Coordinate the quarterly production of the Alumni and Friends eNewsletter, ensuring timely and relevant content distribution. Also coordinate the production
    of our Student eNewsletter at the beginning of each semester.
  • SEO and AI Trends: Stay abreast of the latest trends in SEO and the impact of AI on search technologies to maintain and enhance the website's visibility.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the social media manager and marketing team to plan and execute cohesive advertising and communication plans.
  • Vendor Management: Manage contracts and relationships with vendors related to website services, including CMS (Modern Campus/Omni Update), search solutions (Funnelback/Squizz),
    and analytics platforms (GA 4).
  • Vets, implements, and utilizes software to create a dashboard of analytics and metrics to measure our success
  • Creates additional web pages on our site for new programs, majors, minors, and more

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of relevant IT experience to include increasingly complex business programming in a business or university setting.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
Minimum Skills and Abilities
  • Proven experience in web management and digital strategy
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics and SEO best practice
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and vendors effectively
