The YMCA is an approved Pilot Site for Preschool For All starting in the Fall of 2024. Preschool For All is a Multnomah County funded program looking to connect 3 and 4 year olds with free, culturally responsive, inclusive preschool experiences. Flexible Scheduling Career Path: Promotion to management positions from within the organization Job Responsibilities: A Lead Teacher will work in the program supervising teachers, aides, and volunteers. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, planning and implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the community. Pass a YMCA Background Check Meet all lead teacher standards as dictated by Oregon's Department of Early Learning and Care and Preschool for All including one of the following: 1) Step 7 or higher in the Oregon Registry, 2) Associates Degree or higher in a child development related field, 3) State or nationally recognized credential related to preschool (please inquire for more information) - Please include this with your application if possible Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment. Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days. Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days.
