This Registered Nurse on our Postpartum Unit opportunity is full time, offers full benefits and a convenient schedule.  This dynamic individual will under general supervision, nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. The nature of the direction and supervision required for this position varies by State and job setting. Mother-Baby Nurses educate and assist new mothers with physical and emotional needs during the postpartum period, while in the hospital setting. They perform the dual role of caring for the infants and educating mothers about care.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Involves the patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population specific, and diversity needs in care assessment
  • Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill.  Integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to the diagnosis and co-morbidities.
  • Coordinates the implementation of the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients.  Develops goals, treatment plans, and discharge plans that meet individual patient/family needs.
  • Collaborates with the patient's designated care partner to meet the educational, physical,psychological, and spiritual needs of the patient.

Qualifications

  • ADN Nursing Degree required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • Current RN nursing license in good standing with the Nevada State licensing board
  • PEDS experience required
  • BLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE required
