Position Overview:

North American Composites, a subsidiary of IP Corporation, has an exciting opportunity to lead our Northwest Sales team. We are positioned to have another year of strong growth and seeking a strategic leader with a strong ability to build relationships to join our team.

In this position you will lead a team of 3 Account Managers in the Northwest Market and be responsible for achieving revenue and profit expectations for the market.

As the Regional Commercial Sales Manager for the Pacific Northwest, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market share growth within the designated region. You will lead a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and customer-centricity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus. 10 years’ experience in business, sales or marketing 3 years’ experience in managing sales and/or operations. Proven leadership skills to train, direct and motivate personnel to achieve and maintain agreed upon stated goals and objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. High attention to detail and strong administrative management skills. Skillful negotiation and presentation abilities. Demonstrated ability of excellent customer service techniques including follow-through and resolution. Ability to respond to changing work demands and environment in a positive manner, recognizing them as opportunities for personal and professional growth. Creates sense of teamwork among district associates. High energy approach to business, and a desire to succeed. Computer literacy and experience in MS office applications. 50-60% Overnight travel within the Region.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy Development:

Develop and implement strategic sales plans specific to the Pacific Northwest to achieve company objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team in the Pacific Northwest. Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance evaluations. Works with the Operations Supervisors to ensure successful management of the distribution center. Travels with branch sales personnel and provides them with sales, pricing and technical assistance. Accountable for all sales and distribution activity in the district

Customer Relationship Management :

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the Pacific Northwest, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing team to identify and capitalize on customer needs and market trends.

Revenue Generation:

Drive sales growth in the Pacific Northwest by expanding the customer base and increasing sales to existing clients. Develop and execute effective pricing strategies to maximize profitability.

Market Expansion:

Identify and pursue opportunities for market expansion in the Pacific Northwest, including new geographical areas and industry segments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to introduce new products and solutions to the Pacific Northwest market.

Reporting and Analysis:

Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities specific to the Pacific Northwest to senior management. Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments to sales strategies. Assists VP Business Manager East with preparation of annual sales forecasts and budgets. Controls sales expenses at the branch level by maintaining all controllable costs at or below approved budget amounts.

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge of markets for reinforced plastics and cast products, as well as a thorough understanding of vendors’ and distributors’ functions.
