The Emergency Care | MaineHealth is open twenty-four hours a day with 13-beds and a 3-bed behavioral health area. Patients range from adults, pediatrics, chronic illness, and behavioral health. The ED also cares for the critically ill and injured of all ages. The emergency department provides excellent care with a fantastic team along with tremendous leadership support.
This is a full-time, 36 hour per week, night shift position.
Your Role:
As an RN at Waldo County General Hospital, you will be working in a clinical position. Your day to day will include typical nursing responsibilities such as independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities ( KSAs ):
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • License/Certifications: Current License as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maine; Current BLS Certification. ACLS, PALS, CPI current or within 1 year of hire, TNCC preferred. Current NIHSS (every two years), CEN preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of one year in an acute care setting preferred.
