Model Lifeguard, Ayu Dayclub

Overview:

Summary Statement:

The Marketing / Model Lifeguard is responsible for providing our guests a safe environment in and around all pool areas within Ayu Dayclub. The team member will consistently enhance the guest experience; while anticipating any additional needs to help ensure each guest has a memorable and safe experience at Ayu Dayclub. The Marketing / Model Lifeguard will have the responsibility to prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring, while ensuring the pool deck remains clear of all additional hazards.

Primary Job Duties: Includes but is not limited to:

• Recognize and respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Actively guard and scan the pool area at all times.
• Dress and appearance are consistent with Zouk Group standards.
• Conduct pool inspections while making rounds on shift.
• Attend and participate in regular training sessions.
• Re-stocking, organizing and maintaining levels of towels and towel bins.
• Skim the pool; monitor water for trash, straws, cups, etc.
• Remove used towels from pool deck, being careful not to remove guests belongings that have been put inside of towels.

Qualifications: Includes but is not limited to:

• Must possess current advanced lifesaving certificate (Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid).
• Team Member will have superior customer service skills, friendly and professional demeanor, ability to multitask while remaining calm to deliver exceptional results in a high-paced environment.
• Ability to demonstrate positive interactive skills, sound judgment, logical decision making and manage time effectively with minimum supervision.
• Must be able to act and think quickly.
• Must have considerable knowledge of swimming and bathing hazards, life saving techniques and first aid practices.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
• Previous lifeguarding experience.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum six months of previous custmer service experince in a similar or related field.

Certificates, Licenses, Regulations:

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to obtain the following:
  • CPR/First Aid Card
  • Lifeguard Certification
