Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
The LPN is responsible for the delivery of health care services to children and youth in the residential or school setting under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities:
  • Complete documentation and process notes clearly, accurately, and timely, meeting professional and agency standards.
  • Observe, measure, record, document, and report data on children with illness, injury, or medical/psychological concerns to the RN and other members of the clinical team to plan interventions.
  • Administer medications safely and accurately, per medication policy. Report any unusual responses to a medication to the RN immediately.
  • Obtain heights, weights, and vital sign checks, as well as other tasks directed by the RN (e.g., EKG). Maintain the written record and report any significant changes or deviations from the norm to the supervising RN.
  • Order and maintain inventory of all stock medications and medical supplies.
  • Administer basic first aid in emergency situations.
  • Attend and participate in all staff meetings.
  • Assist in transporting clients to necessary scheduled medical appointments.
  • Navigate current Microsoft and Excel programs and provide data entry.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED and LPN license from an accredited program.
  • 1+ year(s) of child care, HS medical assisting, or residential care experience.
  • LPN experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and meet agency driving standards.
