B3 is a 20-bed medical-surgical unit that specializes in patients with barriers to discharge. B3 is led by Nursing Support and Clinical Operations leadership. We pride ourselves on providing excellent care to our patients and work closely with case management to ensure that they have the safest possible plan for discharge. This is a fast-paced unit with patients who have discharge orders but have barriers that must be overcome for safe discharge planning. Organization, prioritization, and excellent time management skills are a must for a successful candidate. We value teamwork and promote a supportive environment.

Job Summary and Qualifications
Provides leadership that facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Implements medically prescribed interventions.
What qualifications you will need:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation. Must have and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions, or extensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.
