Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Supervisor

• Major Duties and Critical Tasks Responsible for:
  
  • o Works under direct supervision in accordancewith the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, facility Policies and Procedures,and nursing judgment
  • o Delivers nursing care to patients/residentsrequiring long-term or rehabilitative care
  • o Collects patient/resident data,makes observations, and reportspertinent information related to thecare of the patient/resident
  • o According to state-specific regulations,implements the patient/resident plan of care and evaluates the patient/residentresponse
  • o In accordance with state-specific regulations,directs and supervises care given by other nursing personnel in selectedsituations
  • o Maintains knowledge of necessary documentationrequirements
  • o Maintains knowledge of equipment set-up,maintenance and use, i.e., monitors, infusion devices, drain devices, etc
  • o Maintains confidentiality and patient/residentrights, regarding all patient/resident/ personnel information
  • o Provides patient/resident/family/caregivereducation as directed
  • o Conducts self in a professional manner incompliance with unit and facility policies
  • o Works rotating shifts, holidays and weekends asscheduled
  • o Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., CPR,protects patients/residents from injury)
