Scott Credit Union is looking to hire a

full-time HR Coordinator

to join our amazing Human Resources team. The HR Coordinator will work Monday – Friday, during normal business hours.

The Day to Day as a HR Coordinator

The HR Coordinator aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations. Provides administrative support for the Human Resources Department, including record-keeping, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

A typical day will look like:

Acts as an ambassador for the company's mission, vision, values, and purpose, promoting and embodying these principles in all interactions and initiatives to foster a cohesive and engaged workplace culture. Addresses employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, as well as inquiries submitted via voicemail or the contact Human Resources form. Referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate team member. Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to engagement; performance management; and recognition. Supports Equal Employment Opportunity activities, including but not limited to tracking all candidates in the HRIS and Smartsheet to ensure complete, auditable information that is in compliance with government regulations. Coordinates the employee referral program, including but not limited to logging and tracking all employee referrals to ensure that internally generated candidates are contacted expeditiously, tracking new hires originating via employee referrals, and ensuring that employees are paid referral bonuses accordingly. Coordinates, conducts, and reviews pre-employment screening items to include but not limited to employment credit, bondability and background checks. Completes Forms I-9, verifies documentation and maintains I-9 files. Coordinates the preparation and delivery of new hire welcome packages; maintains office and recruiting supplies and requests HR supplies for order. Serves as a point of contact for new hires in addressing questions and managing the onboarding process. Provides necessary information and resources to facilitate a successful transition for new employees and ensures a smooth onboarding process. Coordinates and conducts new hire orientation, providing an overview of company’s mission, vision, values, purpose, and policies. Ensures that new hire paperwork is completed accurately and timely. Coordinates and schedules onboarding sessions, providing guidance and support to new hires throughout the process. Updates and maintains HRIS and internal internet, to include publishing announcements for new hires and internal movement. Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures. Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports such as I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, and other compliance reviews. Implements internal and external HR Social Media Strategy in partnership with Marketing. Informs appropriate HR staff of any matters that require intervention and or action. Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance. Are You a Good Fit?

To Be Considered, You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or relevant work experience Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and social media platforms. Preferred Qualifications That Could Set You Ahead:

SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) credential.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$22.50 – $29.00

hourly.
