1. Unit Name: Operating Room Surg Tech.
2. Brief Unit Description: Level II Trauma; complex community setting.
3. Years of Experience Required: minimum 1-2 years OR experience.
4. Clinician to Patient Ratio: 1:1.
5. Patient Population: Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric.
6. Bed Count: 15.
7. Census: approximately 30 - 40 patients per day.
8. EMR (Charting System): EPIC.
9. Floating Required: No.
10. Rotating Shifts Required: Yes, approximately 2-3 shifts every 4 weeks. Weekend rotation working 7a-3:30p and Call 3p-11:30p 1 of 4 weeks - NO NIGHT CALL.
11. Call Requirement: Surg Techs are expected to take Call weekends and weekday Eve Call.
12. Certifications Required: Surg Tech Certification required by the State. Surg Techs do not perform any cardiac monitoring, so no EKG or Telemetry required.
