Surgical Unit LPN

The Surgical Unit LPN provides direct nursing care to pre- and post-surgical patients in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include medication administration, wound care, trach care, documentation, and communication with healthcare providers. This role also involves reading and responding to EKGs in the central telemetry room. The LPN works under the supervision of a registered nurse and supports the unit's shared governance and educational initiatives.

• Assist in medication administration and IV therapy
• Provide wound care and trach care
• Document patient assessments and care plans
• Communicate with healthcare providers and coordinate patient care
• Read and respond to EKGs in the central telemetry room

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification in the state of Illinois
• Experience in surgical or inpatient nursing preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment
