Summary: The Regional Director oversees all regional Residential Operations and ensures that services provided are of the highest quality and in accordance with the person's served ISP, CARF, licensing, and funding requirements by performing the following duties:

Required Regional Director Level Competencies:

  • Demonstrated ability to support and develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities of all employees within their region
  • Takes initiative to identify, address, and resolve performance issues
  • Ability to communicate operational needs within a strategic plan
  • Understands program staffing requirements and schedules employees within budgeting, licensing, and organizational requirements
  • Understands budgetary processes and apply that knowledge to create, provide input, and monitor home and regional budgets

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Leads and develops their employees to achieve quality outcomes through training, supervision and support, and promoting positive employee relations and to comply with policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that effective hiring practices, employee on-boarding and new employee training techniques are successful.
  • Utilizes computers, smartphones, and other technology based equipment to communicate effectively.
  • Ensures services are provided within CARF standards, funding source and licensing agency requirements, and organizational policy and procedures.
  • Completes documentation, data entry, and written reports in a timely manner in accordance with organizational deadlines. 
  • Investigates allegations of abuse, neglect or misappropriation. 
  • Investigates work related injuries, determines the root cause, and develops solutions to prevent future accidents.
  • Develops and implements quality residential program goals, policies, and procedures in collaboration with other Regional Directors that are consistent with the mission of the organization.
  • Actively participates in the preparation of his/her home and regional budgets and operates within approved budget parameters, utilizing sound fiscal practices to manage and adapt to ongoing change.
  • Participates in organizational and departmental committees, as appropriate.
  • Adheres to all St. Coletta organizational and departmental policies and procedures. 

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (BS, BA) in related field, plus a minimum of five years’ management experience; or an equivalent combination of training and / or experience.
