Overview Halifax Health is seeking a RN Resident for the Emergency Department RN Residency Program. Summary The ED RN Residency program is a year-long, clinically focused nurse residency program. It is the first of its kind and an experience that cannot be found anywhere else in the area. Highlights include weekly physician led didactic instruction combined with clinical skills taught by ED Clinical Nurse Educator or other subject matter experts. The curriculum is created from Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) national exam, so you can be assured that the material is relevant, beneficial, and prepares you to become a board certified emergency nurse by the end of the year. The ED RN Residency program will ease the transition from student to professional nurse, giving you the support, education, and skills you require to be the best nurse you can be. Job Qualifications * No license is required upon initial hire but RN license in the State of Florida must be obtained within 90 days of hire. * Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree * Certifications as required by individual unit/area. * Professionalism in interpersonal communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel. * Personal professional development, accountability, organization and leadership in the performance of professional nursing practice. * Must be customer-service oriented and able to effectively communicate and build relationships with co-workers and key stakeholders at all levels in the organization. * Professionalism in interpersonal communication skills with patients, patient families, colleagues, physicians and ancillary department personnel is required. * Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to assist in providing exceptional care for our patients and their families.
